Banshee 2.6.2 on Manjaro (Gnome) became unresponsive

Hi all,
since about a week ago, Banshee stopped working properly for me.
First thing I noticed was, that it didnt show or download new podcasts. It still played music fine but when I tried to exit it, it became unresponsive leading to the error pop-up "banshee is taking long to response, wait or force quit?".
In the terminal, it showed alot of "(Banshee:3416): GLib-CRITICAL **: Source ID 447 was not found when attempting to remove it" messages with different IDs.
Someone on another forum suggested to a similar error to delete the database and rebuild it. I tried that, but Banshee is not responding and freezes when I click on "Reload Music Database".
I even uninstalled and reinstalled Banshee, without any effect.

Any ideas what I might try?

Banshee 2.6.2 is not working properly under any Gnome 3 distro I have installed: Sabayon (Gentoo) and Antergos (Arch). Actually, I can play music without problem, but I cannot add folders to the library, since it immediately freezes. From time to time. after "freezing", a pop-up window invites you to "force quit" or continue "waiting". I am going to start a new thread regarding this matter, but I thought it could be related with what you mentioned.

I experience this same issue; it is not possible to add new media to
the library.

Another notch indicating it is time to find a new media-player app. :(

Seems to be a plugin issue. Disabling DAAP worked for me.
